WYD is the door for young people to live and be Church. My first WYD was Brazil 2013, it was my first trip alone I was 19 years old and I had no idea what was going on but I was going with many expectations and anxieties; for different situations I was the only one of my community that managed to go and this made me know new brothers from other communities in my same city and it was an exchange of much blessing. I had not made the sacraments of first communion and confirmation and it was there where I confirmed my call and had the conviction to continue professing my Catholic faith. Then for Poland 2016 I had the strong feeling of coordinating the group in my community so that my brothers could also live the experience and I had the opportunity to coordinate three different communities in my city with almost 60 young people who were and lived the emotion of living a WYD. This year I decided to live WYD as a volunteer and I am very happy to have been called to this service, with many anxieties and very grateful to be able to offer my youth to the Lord together with my brothers and sisters from all over the world, to be able to recognize that our Church is universal and to follow the call of Christ to live for Him. It requires a lot of effort and dedication to attend a WYD but it is enough to have the faith that the Lord calls us and provides us when we need and want to fulfill his will.
