My name is Yatsury Sáez I'm 22 years old and I'm from Panama!
The WYD for me means a lot of things but the main one is the call for the acceptance of change.
I knew about the World Youth Day when a friend from my parish started selling headphones to go to WYD Krakow 2016, but I honestly never imagined that this, today, would be part of my life. On the day of the sending Mass in Krakow, where they would announce the next venue for 2019, the priest from my parish told me that we were going to go to the archdiocese because they were going to broadcast the event and we were going to know who the new venue was. At the moment they said Panama I jumped for joy but at two minutes I thought "I don't even know whats a WYD and I'm jumping". That's why I started looking and said "this can't be in my country; it's very small". One of my best friends invited me to participate in the organization of #PrayForWYD and in less than 2 months I ended up working with the Deputy Director of Media Operations, where the entire area of television production and journalist attention is organized. It should be noted that I have always dreamed of being a communicator but I never thought that the day will lead me to discover my passion and recognize that in my smallness I can do such great things for Him and for all the young people of the world. In October I had the great and unexpected opportunity to meet Pope Francis, with whom I was shocked and could not even speak (when I was characterized by talking too much) and not feeling a little deserving of it, I continue to learn how powerful are the ways of the Lord.
The Journey is nothing more than believing in dreams and a true experience of love and faith.
